you spend 15 hours slaving away at premiere, you run off your preview you think not to bad just a few sound FX tweaking needing then,

when you go to re open your project f*cking premiere comes up with cant open this file , the file is locked or corrupt

Hi Chance,

Premiere keeps a backup archive of saved projects. These will be older versions of your project but at least you won't have lost everything.

Premiere 6.0 keeps it's project archive in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Premiere 6\ Project Archive

Premiere 6.5 keeps the project archive in your My Documents\Adobe\Project Archive

Also you can sometimes salvage a project by starting a new project and importing your old project by going to File&gt;Import&gt;Project.

One other thing to try as well is resetting the Premiere preferences. To do this hold down the Shift and Control keys whilst you open Premiere. This can sometimes fix problems. Don't forget though if you do this you will need to select the correct preset and set the scratch disks again.

Xendar , I was forgeting that you guys have got loads of software options. How many of them are actually worth using? or in this case posting loads of questions on forums and ringing help lines to get working. Your missing the point its a quantity verses quality issue. You can keep the quantity and I'll stick with the quality.

Here's my constructive thought for the day. GO BUY A MAC. Problem solved.
